The Parents Union is a new nonprofit organization whose mission is to bring together a powerful, diverse community of parents and families to make sure every child in the state of Washington receives a world-class education.

Together, we have the power to bring about urgently needed changes in our classrooms and schools, in our school districts and in Olympia.
It’s truly up to us.

When parents engage in their children’s education,
the proven benefits are numerous:

  • Higher grades and test scores
  • Better attendance and more completed homework
  • Higher graduation rates
  • Greater enrollment in post-secondary education
  • Young adults are less likely to be on welfare or in jail

Our goal is to inform, empower, and unite both parents and families to become advocates for their own children and for all children.
